Our story
Born from being tired of too much
Alwi started in 2019 out of one simple frustration: too many clothes loud with colour and logos, and falling apart after a few washes. We wanted the opposite — plain, honest, and long-lasting.
We chose a monochrome palette not because it was a trend, but because black, white and grey are never wrong and always go together. It moved the question from “what colour is it” to “how well is it made”.
“We do not make clothes to be noticed. We make clothes you are comfortable relying on.”
Our aim is simple: to be everyone’s default wardrobe — the essential pieces worn more often than anything else. Every product is designed to last, to be easy to combine, and to feel right the first time it is worn.

24s combed cotton and 380 gsm fleece — thick, breathable, and still in shape after dozens of washes.
Original design
Every piece is drawn by our own team — not a template, and not a print off the shelf.
Made locally
Sewn in our own workshop in Bandung, by local tailors we pay properly.
Built to last
We are against fast fashion. An Alwi piece is made to be worn for years, not for a season.

Measure once, fits for good
Every measurement is in centimetres, taken flat, with a 1–2 cm tolerance. Between two sizes? Take the larger one for an oversized fit.
